Kate and Owen engaged?

Is there something in the water in celeb land? First there was Beyonce and Jay-Z, then Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon – and now Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson are alleged to be getting hitched.
Kate has reportedly been spotted in Boston sporting a huge rock on her engagement finger. This pair haven't exactly had a smooth ride. They split last May and shortly afterwards Owen attempted to commit suicide.
Then at the start of this year rumours were rife they were back together, and in March the pair were spotted getting cosy – and now it seems like it's full steam ahead.
A source told the News of the World: "Kate supported Owen during his low patch and that proved to him she's the woman he wants to be with for ever. He picked out the ring and went for the biggest one he could find. He was nervous about proposing but Kate was thrilled and the whole thing was really emotional.
"The engagement is a natural step forward for them both and Kate's ecstatic."
However, don't go rushing out to buy a present for the happy pair just yet: Kate's rep has denied the news. She told OK! the ring isn't from Owen, but simply a prop from Kate's latest film.
"Kate's filming a movie called Bride Wars! She is not engaged," the rep explained. Maybe someone needs to tell Kate to take the props off when she's not filming.
